Yesterday I learnt with profound shock of the untimely demise of Kenya’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Francis Omondi Ogolla EGH, EBS, HSC, ‘ndc’ (K), ‘psc’ (FRA) and nine other Kenya Defence Forces personnel through a tragic plane accident. I met the late CDF General Ogolla in 2010 when we shared the National Defence College (Kenya) Training course, number 13. He was an intelligent, hardworking, diligent and humble compatriot who served his country with outmost dedication.
On behalf of my family and the Kenya Forest Service fraternity, I wish to convey my outmost condolences to the family and friends of General Ogolla and all the other deceased patriots. I also extend my deepest sympathies to the entire Kenya Defence Forces. May God give you strength and fortitude to overcome this great loss.
