The long awaited admission of Cadet and Forester trainees was conducted today in an exercise that saw six hundred men and women begin their Paramilitary training.
After making applications for the positions which were advertised by Kenya Forest Service, the trainees were shortlisted and interviewed before receiving a call up for training in their respective positions.
The trainees who met all the requirements will undergo a vigorous paramilitary training schedule that will equip them with the relevant skills and knowledge to protect, conserve and manage our forests.
Present to oversee the exercise was Principal Senior Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests, Ms Charity Munyasya who on behalf of the CCF welcomed the trainees and urged them to maintain a high level of discipline and commitment in their training. She went on to remind the trainees not to take the privilege awarded to them by the President for granted and to stay focused through out their training.
Among the senior officers present included the Commandant Mr. Mohammed A. Mohammed, Deputy Commandant Mr. Wilson Leboo and FOLEA Commanding Officer Mr. Apollinary Mwandigha.
