Tracking Tree Growing Activities.

Kenya Forest Service continues tree growing activities taking advantage of the long rains season across the country.
His Excellency President William Ruto led tree growing exercise in Meru County where 14,700 tree seedlings were planted. The President was in Meru to commission the construction of Mitunguu animal feed factory.
In Mau and North Rift Conservancy 61,191 & 15,200 trees were planted respectively. While in Nairobi Conservancy, 27, 372 trees were planted in Kajiado and Nairobi Counties.
In Coast and Eastern Conservancy 60,000 & 40,245 seedling have been planted in the past few days. Nyanza recorded 8,000 and while Western 1,004 seedlings.
As a Service we continue to lead the nation in tree planting, taking advantage of the ongoing rains. We are grateful to all our partners who continue to support us on delivering our mandate and urge them to continue.
We also call upon everyone to plant trees as a mitigation measure to adverse climate effects and to help achieve 30% tree cover target by 2032.
