The kenya forestry college based in londiani, kericho county held its 46th graduation ceremony that saw a total of 118 graduants conferred with diplomas and certificates in Forestry, Environmental management, Agriculture management, Business management, Carpentry, Tree nursery management, Sawmilling technology, Bee keeping technology among other short courses offered in the college.
The chief guest Hon. Soipan Tuya who graced the occasion noted she was happy and proud to be part of this milestone in the 67 year old institution. She also urged the graduants to be vigilant and aggressive towards conserving and protecting our forest once they are absorbed by the various conservation organizations in our country.
The chief conservator of forests on his part took the opportunity to congratulate the graduants and encourage them to apply everything they have been taught and put it in good use. He also assured the CS and other guests present that issues of integrity among Forestry staff will not be tolerated and anyone who will misuse their office to degrade forests will face the full force of the law.
In her remarks, the college Principal, Dr Elizabeth Wambugu exhuded confidence that the graduants were well trained and ready to serve.
