The CCF Mr. Alex Lemarkoko, welcomed Dr. Winnie Wairimu, an Environment and Social Consultant representing the African Development Bank (AfDB). Dr. Wairimu is currently leading a field assessment mission for the Green Zones Development Support Project Phase II, fully funded by AfDB and implemented by KFS.
During the meeting, discussions centered around ensuring the project’s adherence to environmental and social standards, with upcoming engagements planned between the bank and project management. Field visits to project sites are also scheduled to evaluate compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and to provide recommendations for further enhancements.
Mr. Lemarkoko expressed sincere gratitude to AfDB for their continuous support of the Green Zones project. He affirmed KFS’s commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with the bank, emphasizing the project’s positive impact on local communities and its contribution to climate change mitigation efforts.
Dr. Wairimu commended the progress of the project implementation, highlighting AfDB’s openness to future collaborations aimed at sustainable development.
