The first ever national tree planting day saw the launch of a tree planting campaign in all 47 counties across the country, the exercise was graced by members of the public who turned up in large numbers to combat climate change through planting of trees.
Spearheading the event was His Excellency William Ruto whom together with senior government officials led the county in this important exercise which is part of the 15 billion trees by 2030 initiative.
