The Kenya Forest Service hosted the final meeting of the National Coordinating Committee ahead of the National Joint Thanksgiving Service for Uniformed Disciplined Services and their families, scheduled for 7 November 2026. The meeting brought together representatives of the seven participating services to review the remaining arrangements and ensure that all outstanding matters are addressed before the national event.
Discussions focused on the final programme, logistical requirements and coordination of participating formations. Members also reviewed the rehearsal schedule, with representatives urged to ensure their teams are available for the final joint rehearsals on Friday to synchronise the programme and ensure a seamless service.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Patrick Namagwa, Interim Chairman of the National Thanksgiving Committee, who appreciated the participating services for their commitment and cooperation throughout the planning process. He encouraged members to maintain the same spirit of teamwork and ensure that their respective responsibilities are fulfilled as the event approaches.
National Coordinator Fr. Paul Miring’u urged all formations to give the final rehearsals the attention they deserve and ensure their officers are present and adequately prepared. With the committee’s coordination meetings now concluded, attention shifts to the final joint practice and delivery of the national service.
The National Joint Thanksgiving Service will bring together officers and their families from the Kenya Forest Service, Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Police Service, Administration Police Service, Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Prisons Service and National Youth Service. The gathering will celebrate their shared commitment to national service, honour the sacrifices made in the line of duty and strengthen unity among the country’s disciplined services.
