‎Delegates of the Kenya Forest Service Staff Welfare Association (KEFSSWA), drawn from different counties, converged at the KFS Headquarters for the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), a key forum for reviewing its performance, examining its financial position and addressing matters affecting members’ welfare.
‎
‎In his address, KEFSSWA Chairman Mr. Hillary Wandera welcomed the delegates and presented the Chairman’s Report, highlighting the Association’s activities, progress and priorities. He underscored the importance of unity, active participation and shared responsibility in strengthening KEFSSWA’s ability to serve its members.
‎
‎The auditors’ report was presented by Mr. John Muthui of Muthui & Company, Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, giving delegates an opportunity to review the Association’s financial accountability and reporting. The meeting also deliberated on key governance and operational matters, considered members’ concerns and provided a platform for delegates to offer views and recommendations on improving welfare services and the management of the Association.
‎
‎The AGM provided an important opportunity for members’ representatives to exercise oversight, promote transparency and shape the Association’s priorities. The discussions and resolutions arising from the meeting are expected to guide future action, strengthen institutional accountability and reinforce KEFSSWA’s commitment to safeguarding and improving the welfare of its members.
