Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Mr. Alex Lemarkoko accompanied the Principal Secretary for Forestry, Mr. Gitonga Mugambi, before the National Assembly Committee on Implementation, chaired by Budalangi MP Hon. Raphael Wanjala, at Bunge Towers.
The PS provided an update on the implementation of House resolutions concerning the management, protection and conservation of public forest land.
Mr. Mugambi reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to implementing the resolutions in accordance with the Constitution, the Forest Conservation and Management Act, 2016, and other applicable laws.
The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) remains committed to fulfilling its mandate of conserving, protecting and sustainably managing Kenya’s forest resources in accordance with the law.
