The Principal Dr. Elizabeth Wambugu and staff from Kenya Forest Service Londiani Forest Station joined Rural Electrification & Renewable Energy Corporation – Kenya (REREC) for a tree planting exercise in Londiani Kericho county.
RERAC,under the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum intends to conduct monthly tree planting activities at the adopted site. This is in line with the President’s directive to government agencies to play a role in achievement of the 15 billion trees target.
A total of 25,000 seedlings were today planted together with the Community Forest Association and other forest adjacent communities.
