INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
It is due to the growth of Computers usage in information processing and data retrieval. IT impact has created a demand for computer proffesionals who knows and understands Computer applications and maintainance. It is for this reason that the college has introduced a Diploma Course in inforamtion Technology.
The Diploma course comprises 3 modules. The Diploma course is meant to equip the student with skills, knowledge and attitude as a system administrator, database manager, network specialist or ICT support staff. Download Application form
INTAKES: January, May and August.
DURATION: 2 years
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: K.C.S.E with minimum of C-(minus) and/or any valid computer related certification.
COURSE STRUCTURE
- Introduction to Computers and Principles of Operating Systems
- Computer Hardware
- Introduction to database systems.
- Programming Basics in C++ and JAVA.
- Computer Networks.
- Data communication.
- Web designing.
- Software development project.
- Industrial Attachment- a minimum of three months for an industrial attachment.
