Eburu Ecosystem Project Launched including a Forest Management Plan

Cabinet Secretary Environment and Forestry Mr. Keriako Tobiko  commissioned the Eburu Ecosystem Project in a colourful ceremony in Eburu Forest, Mau Complex. He was joined by The Governor, Nakuru County. H.E.Lee Kinyanjui, KFS Chairman Mr. Peter Kinyua, Ag. Chief Conservator of Forests Monica Kalenda, Rhino Ark Executive Director, Mr. Christian Lambrechts, among other stakeholders and government officers. Mr. Tobiko also launched the Eburu Participatory Forest Management Plan that will guide forest conservation and management activities in the forest for the next five years. The Service remains open to strategic partnerships in tree planting, forest rehabilitation and forest conservation to ensure the Country achieves 10% tree cover by 2022.
