International Day of Biodiversity takes place at the KFS Grounds

Principal Secretary for Environment and Forestry, Mr. Charles Sunkuli presided over The International Day for Biodiversity 2018 celebrations held at the Kenya Forest Service Headquarters, Karura. The event was also graced by senior officials from KFS, KEFRI, KWS, KEPHIS, NEMA, KMD, KWTA, Nature Kenya among others.

This years' theme is "Celebrating 25 years of Action for Diversity". It provides an opportunity for Kenya to communicate to the world the importance of biodiversity, its conservation and sustainable use and the equitable sharing of benefits by the use of genetic resources. All Kenyans are urged to join in biodiversity conservation for the well being of our generation and posterity.
