Kenya to Partner with Israel on Dryland Forestry

A delegation from the Karen Kayemeth Leisrael, Jewish National Fund, (KKL-JNF) led by the Chief Forester David Brand (right), Geni Denisyuk, GIS Manager (center) & Itshack Moshe, Head of Afforestation & Soil Conservation have today met the Ag. Chief Conservator of Forests Monica Kalenda & other Senior KFS officials to discuss the progress of a signed MOU on Capacity Development in Dryland Forestry.

 

The MOU was developed last year in Kenya between the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF). Kenya is set to benefit from the MOU in a number of ways including; technology transfer, irrigated forestry and mechanized run-off harvesting for large scale tree growing in the dryland areas.
